I was referred to Dr. Ball by a friend 3 years ago and was warned that he can be slow to get to at times. That is true but, he gives me all the time I need to cover my issues, which are several. I find his staff to be pleasant and efficient. If you want a good Dr. but not in a hurry to get out fast he is your man. Walt

Outstanding doctor and practitioners who will listen to everything you need to say without acting like they need to move on to someone else like so many other doctors. I have been a patient since the mid-80's.
The wait time may be a little longer than you would want but you have to remember that he spends time that each patient needs and will spend the time you need with him.
We would not consider another doctor as our primary care doctor for the simple fact that he listens and cares for his patients.

Received close to five stars when I 1st started
Going there 8 years ago and now that has dropped to 3 1/2 stars I see. My last contact
With the doctor for a physical ended in a cluster. I scheduled an appointment for the physical and as always it seems I was given to
One of his practitioners to do the physical, not the Doctor. Hannah Whitenack was always very sincere and seemed like she cared. She was not available this time I was told so they gave me to another practitioner. I showed up for the physical, after driving across town and waited
only to have the practioners assistant come out
And tell me my insurance, most likely, would not cover the physical since it had not been a year since the last one. This was the fought of the office girl who scheduled it. I left that day not too happy! I spoke with the office manager by phone the next day and ask if Doctor Ball could call me. I received a call the next day from the office manager and she acted like we have never talked. She tried to reschedule the physical. I ask her why Doctor Ball had not called me and she said that the Doctor did not remember me. I have been face to face with this doctor a couple times over the 8 years.
This doctor saw my parents for years and they
Had nothing but good things to say about him.
Things have changed it seems! I’m not sure if the doctor is to totally blame or his office staff
Who never smile and make faces at me! I was told by the office manager that nothing anyone does there seems to please me! Wow! I just wanted to get a physical that’s all!

Yes, you'll wait but for your health do you want fast or good? Dr. Ball is the best. He takes the time to get it right and has a great bedside manner. I wouldn't change doctors or anything.

Dr. Ball has taken my Mama away from me. He is the house doc at Brookdale Roanoke, formerly Emeritis Roanoke Memory center on Persinger Ave Roanoke Va. She had been doing so well and presented signs of a UTI and the bacteria was not high enough for an antibiotic. I mean, REALLY? At age 88? She has gone down quickly and no longer knows me and the staff is waiting a week and hoping her UTI gets bad enough to get an antibiotic. This SUCKS. I would not send my worst enemy to this man.

That place sucks. It's an old creepy looking house, with gross stained up chairs, the receptionists are very rude, and on top of it they said they didn't accept my insurance after I had called and they took down all the information. I do not recommend anyone to go there!
