Dr. Camp performed surgery on my daughter to correct scoliosis. All through the process, from the initial diagnosis to hospital discharge, he was prompt, courteous, and willing to answer any and all questions. Never once did we feel rushed or that our questions were too simple. He explained everything, suggested we get a second opinion, and took the time to make my daughter feel comfortable. He wasn't quick to suggest surgery, first trying bracing and using surgery only as a last resort. He often had medical students or residents with him during appointments, showing he enjoys teaching others a very specialized craft. He truly cares about his patients and their families. Las Vegas is lucky to have him.

Dr. Camp and (Bert) is his name I’m not sure what’s his position called. I took my son to the ER on the 28 of DEC., he had fractured his elbow and they did the surgery on my son and put pins in. Today I went in as a check up because my sons fingers get cold randomly and I wanted to make sure it was normal, he was in a splint I believe it’s called. As Dr. Camp was cutting off the splint my son scared put his hand on dr camps arm and dr camp grabbed my 6 years old sons wrist and squeezed!! Squeezed hard enough that my son screamed. Then Bert came in trying to rush my son to get off the bed to get X-rays done and my son was terrified and didn’t want to go. Bert literally stormed out the room mad!!! Are you serious?! I told the nurse that was there that if they didn’t know how to handle kids I would leave and she was very polite and said she would wait for my sons dad to arrive (my son is more at ease when my husband is around in situations like this). My husband got there and they turned their attitudes around and tried making conversation. If your kids get injured please please! these drs are not the ones you want your kids to be taken care of.

Omg I have always loved Dr. Camp. I am 42yrs old and at age 9. He performed a femur surgery on me. Omg through the years I have always talked about and thought of him. Thank you Dr. Camp, I will never forget you?

Doctor camp preformed surgery on my back at the age of 12. I had a slipped disk at a grade 3. He went in and put 8 screws and two rods in. Two of my screws broke within the first year of having them. My mom had asked why he didn't put a "cage device" in like he initially planned Because he said that was the most important part. He then freaked out on my mom saying it was not nessescary and that it was her fault that my screws were broken. My mom and I walked out of that office and never looked back. I am now 24 and in a lot of lower back pain and am having a hard time finding a surgeon willing to clean up his work. Please be advised that this surgeon seems happy and kind when things are going his way. But if something goes wrong he is quick to blame others instead of recognizing his mistake and fixing it. Complete 180 personality.

Also while in surgery he broke four screws trying to drill them in my back....and then CHARGED us for them. Why would you charge someone for screws you BROKE during surgery?

I will continue to have nightmares of this man forever.

My 7 year old broke her arm on the playground. Dr. Camp saw her Sunday afternoon and had her in the OR in about an hour. She had a very bad fracture of her upper arm. He obtained an excellent result and she is at home doing great. He answered all my questions before and after surgery.

Prior to writing this review, I looked at some of the other online reviews and was very surprised. I thought he was very pleasant. I am a physician myself and orthopedists are not known for being "warm and fuzzy." Anybody who expects an orthopedic surgeon to spend 20 minutes with them talking about their family needs a reality check. Also, practicing medicine in Las Vegas is not easy because the insurance companies here are terrible. We are lucky to have specialists like him here, as many doctors are leaving Las Vegas because there are much better opportunities elsewhere.

I did not interact with his staff, so I cannot comment on that. The staff at Summerlin ER were quite good. Their peds ER was very efficient and did everything correctly.

The first time I went to Dr Camp was for a hip surgery. The surgery not only failed, but was the cause of many other skeletal health problems which lead to several more harmful and redudant surgeries. It wasn't until I went to another doctor for an actual corrective surgery that my hip started correctly and efficiently healing. Four years later, and after having time to heal, it became obvious that Dr Camp's "surgeries" were not meant to be solutions for my hip. Each one was meant to lead into another.
I would strongly advise considering other options.

One of this worlds most caring and competent physicians. My wife and I thank God he was there for my teenage son. I trust him with lives of those I hold most dear.

Terrible office. Basically held my daughters health at ransom for my deductible. Told my wife they wouldn't even see my daughter to cast her broken leg until we paid our co-pay AND full deductible at our visit. Talked to my insurance provider and was told that co-pay is all that is needed at time of visit and I was to be billed the rest after submitting everything to united health. Will be filing a formal complaint. Avoid this place if you can.
