Kate is amazing! My husband, 16-month old son, and I had a family photo shoot in the Boston Public Garden in June 2019. Not only is Kate an exceptional photographer, she is super organized and has the process laid out so it’s easy if it’s your first time having family photos. I found her session guide incredibly helpful, especially if you’re like me and are clueless regarding outfit coordination and what to do and not do in a photo shoot. I also liked that Kate listed her favorite shoot locations in Boston and that helped in narrowing down our desired location. I also was grateful that Kate went above and beyond in assisting my family with our outfit selection and coordination. I was surprised how quickly Kate answered my emails and the amount of assistance she gave us throughout the process.

I don’t know how to pose properly and Kate guided us throughout the entire session. Our session was a combination of both lightly posed and natural candid photos and it was the perfect mix in capturing great photos. I was shocked that I actually felt comfortable during the session and my husband felt the same. Kate did a great job of acting silly and playing with our little one throughout the session. It is clear she loves children and children feel the same about her. My shy boy warmed right up to Kate and she kept him smiling and entertained. Kate is also incredibly skilled in editing the photos to clean up any insecurities you may have (flyaway hair, skin touch-up, etc.). When we received our final photos, I was shocked how beautiful they came out. She captured the playful spirit of our rambunctious toddler and some really sweet moments of the three of us.

It is evident that Kate loves what she does and takes great pride in her work. It was clear that her goal was to have us happy with our photos and we were beyond happy with the final product. I highly recommend Kate to capture your family memories!

Kate did newborn photos for us, which included our three year old! She was absolutely fantastic. From the moment I reached out to book with her she was responsive, friendly and professional. During the session she was absolutely magic getting all of us, especially the toddler, to pose, laugh, and enjoy ourselves. She made it so easy. The final product photos were incredible. Our family photoshoot with Kate was more than I could have ever hoped for! It is no small feat keeping a 3- and 6-year-old happy and engaged, but my kids had so much fun with Miss Kate that they kept asking when our next play date with her would be! From the moment I first contacted her until the day my final photos were ready for download, Kate was responsive, detail-oriented, full of helpful information, and a pure joy to work with! Our experience with Kate was wonderful. As a family of six, with young kids, we brought a lot of energy to the shoot, and she was able to expertly capture that through the photos. She was also very responsive to any questions. She would always email me back within a day or so when I contacted her. Kate was so friendly and worked incredibly well with the kids. It was such a joy to have Kate photograph our family, and she did such a wonderful job capturing such amazing shots of our 6-month-old baby. I knew that I loved her photography style from her website, but was also very pleased by her organization and attention to detail in our communications leading up to the photoshoot. I don't have much experience being photographed and had anxiety about the location, choosing outfits, whether our sometimes-grumpy little boy would smile for the camera, etc. Kate was very reassuring and helped field all of my questions, and she even gave me tips/suggestions to prepare for the photoshoot.

The actual hour we spent with her was high energy, fun, and productive! She is professional, loves playing with kids, and great at thinking on her feet. After the session, she kept me updated, delivered the proofs ahead of schedule, and then sent the final product just days afterwards! The photos themselves were absolutely beautiful works of art, and I loved all of them (and now spend my free time looking at them). They really captured genuine smiles and the feelings of joy and love. Overall, I was so impressed with the whole experience!

I can't wait to work with Kate again, and wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for a family photographer!

I am completely tardy in my review, but better late than never! My fiance and I worked with Kate last fall (October 2015) for engagement pictures. My fiance had worked with Kate previously because his law firm uses her services for their head shots. Having his picture taken isn't exactly his favorite way to pass time, so when he reported to me that he enjoyed his session with Kate and actually had fun I knew without a doubt that I was going to find a way to use her after we got engaged!

Kate definitely exceeded all of my expectations. Kate has amazing energy and is just a fun person to spend an afternoon with. Looking back at our shots I'm amazed by her vision and ability to stick two people in a field of sea grass in just the right spot so that the sunlight peaks through and in a way that makes the entire scene look totally natural.

We were so pleased with our images that choosing which images to purchase was a huge undertaking! I've had so much fun sharing the images as gifts for family members and displaying them proudly around our home, and I can't wait to find a new reason to hire Kate for another session in our future!
