My husband and I have known Christine for years and always admired her work. When we decided to do a vow renewal in Germany, she was the first person I called (I HAD to have pictures done be her). And boy did she deliver. We couldn’t be happier with how the pictures came out and she made the day so special and easy and fun. Where do I even begin? Christine is incredible in every way! Her pictures speak for themselves.. she is so much more than a photographer. She was there to answer every question I had for the entire year leading up to the wedding day. She planned the most perfect day even with questionable weather conditions. She honestly could/should charge so much more because she puts so much into each couples day. We felt like we had known her for years. I dont think I could recommend Christine enough. Absolute best experience of our lives! We have nothing but amazing things to say about Christine and Scott. They were so flexible, generous, and excited throughout the entire experience and treated every aspect of it like it was their own. Their genuine drive to ensure we loved every second of our elopement was unforgettable. From the first meeting until we got our album in the mail it was an amazing experience. I knew from the first second of discussing our elopement with Christine I knew they were the ones for us. They were open to every nit-picky aspect and request I had and always received it with a smile and “let’s do it!”. Even if it was a request or location they haven’t done before, they made it work. There was always advice and suggestions to give with the many countless questions we had. It’s truly was an unforgettable experience we still talk about constantly even almost a year later. Christine still occasionally keeps in touch to see how we’re doing and I love it! You’ll NEVER regret deciding to book Christine and Scott. They will make your special day an experience you’ll live for a lifetime. Couldn’t be more elated to recommend them to anyone! A lot of photographers/planners make you seem like just another couple, but we never felt that with them. Even though they stayed up until 1+am getting our stars/Milky Way pictures the night before, we still got sneak peek pictures a day later. Their dedication to their craft is indescribable and I can’t say enough amazing things about them! Absolutely an adventure of a lifetime that couldn’t have happened without them!

Wow. Christine and Scott truly amazed us from start to finish! Stumbling across their page solidified our crazy idea of a mountain elopement and made it clear it was them or bust! Not only was their photography style so dreamy, yet so real and authentic, they were clear favourites! From the thoughtful enquiry questionnaire it was obvious, being a Made in the Mountains couple is a special deal. Not only were we treated to Christine’s thoughtful approach, but the detailed and meticulously planned systems left no stone unturned no question unanswered. Which were rolled out in a timeline in perfectly planned bite sized pieces to not overwhelm us and that showed us at every turn she’d thought of everything! We truly felt so supported and guided by Christine and Scott, which made the entire lead up to the wedding stress free and we were genuinely so pumped to meet them and have an epic day! Annndd an EPIC day we had! Excuse me while I gush over how incredible our day was- thanks to them- and how truly amazing it was to see them in action! Christine our biggest hype woman running circles around us all day, and Scott who captured so many special candid moments without us even noticing! Two favourite moments from the day stem from Christine’s visions that not only made for off the charts epic photos, but captured the most beautiful moments. When Christine pointed out ‘does that look like a good ceremony spot?’ I burst into tears as it was exactly what we had envisioned, but so so much better! They gave us the perfect amount of space and direction, letting us soak in every moment and the mind blowing views. We could go on forever- and we will, because as long as we have these incredible photos and video, the memory of Made in the Mountains will always remind us of how grateful and lucky we were to find them!

Finding Christine with Made in the Mountains Photo was like a dream come true for us! We were struggling to even know where to begin planning an elopement/micro wedding in Germany from afar, but after our first virtual meeting with her, we were immediately at ease and super excited. Christine really went above and beyond the typical responsibilities of a wedding photographer-- providing a detailed resource guide, creating a timeline, scouting out beautiful hiking trails with spectacular views for us to choose from, and giving us local recommendations for a celebrant, hair and makeup artist, flowers etc. She kept us on track with the planning process and helped us craft our perfect day of celebrating our love together in the mountains! We feel lucky to have spent the day hiking with Christine, an immediate friend that made us feel comfortable and natural around the camera. Oh and not to mention she is an INCREDIBLE photographer! She captured every moment and emotion as well as the breathtaking scenery beautifully. She had the photos ready quickly and we have already received an insane amount of compliments on them. We had an absolutely incredible experience with Christine & Scott! They are an amazing team to work with, and helped make our wedding day flow perfectly! Christine also helped recommend so many local vendors for us to use for our wedding in Germany, which saved us lots of time in the planning process. I cannot recommend them more! I have so many good things to say about Christine, it's hard to figure out where to even start. The TL;DR is that she is a genuinely wonderful person, was instrumental in helping us plan and execute our elopement day in a way that felt so authentic to us and our relationship, captured the most phenomenal pictures I've ever seen, and helped us have what is was literally the best day of our lives. I wish I could live it a million times over, and I feel like I can through the pictures she captured.

The long version:

My husband and I had initially started down the path of the traditional wedding plan, but after touring venues and looking at it, sat down and decided it really wasn't what we wanted out of our wedding day and didn't feel like us. We explored other elopement planning companies and options and knew that was the route we wanted to go, but hadn't found a plan that felt right. I found Christine through some instagram and google searching and absolutely loved her portfolio, and after our first video call with her we knew she could help us plan the day we wanted. She was so warm and friendly, and her experience and attention to detail came through in the questions she asked. Her initial questionnaire was very detailed and it really helped us by making us sit down and really think about the things we wanted out of our day and being able to verbalize it. We ended up having about two and a half months to plan (luckily we'd had some things already taken care of beforehand) and Christine was so helpful through the whole process. She has put so much work into having tons of information available to help planning, and she was incredibly responsive to any questions we had along the way! The location options she put together were amazing, and honestly hard to narrow down to one. She took everything we had told her and really baked it into the location scouting and timeline she put together. She went above and beyond helping with suggestions for other vendors, and even the idea of doing a makeup class at home when I couldn't find a HMUA local to Switzerland. We also discussed options for backup plans in the case of weather, which for us ended up being changing our date to the following day to avoid super heavy rain in the forecast. Christine's flexibility and preparedness for this was above and beyond, and we were so grateful because we ended up having absolutely perfect weather on the plan B day.

When Christine and Scott showed up the morning of, any last hesitations I had were immediately gone - they felt like friends from the first moment. Christine is so good at putting you at ease and making sure you have what you need and are comfortable. Scott was a joy to have along too and he's got a serious talent for blending into the background and making you forget he's even there so you can really just be present in the moment. The whole day felt like we were having the best adventure, with two friends along, who also just happened to get some really kickass pictures of us. Christine was the best kind of hype woman when we needed it, and was really great when she had us do poses that might feel silly because she told us we'd probably feel dumb but it would look awesome (and after seeing our sneak peeks she was 100% right!).

I cannot say enough good things about our experience working with Christine. We felt truly cared for and that Scott and Christine were genuinely invested in making it the best day for us, and that they also genuinely enjoyed it. We are forever grateful that we found her and that she was a part of our day. It truly exceeded all our wildest dreams.

Planning an elopement on a short-ish time frame on another continent can certainly feel stressful even if you choose to elope to help minimize the stress, but Christine was so so helpful in curating our day to exactly what we were looking for on our elopement day.  From the first video chat to helping select options for locations and hikes to timeline arrangements, Christine has all her bases covered to help you through the planning process and to make your day the best for what you're imagining.   Christine is incredible when it comes to planning a day that you dream of while still having amazing back up plans for whatever weather or cable car schedules have in store.

The day of an elopement can be full of excited energy (as it was for us!) and meeting a photographer for the first time on that day can feel a little extra stressful, but Christine was so prepared and professional that we felt immediately at ease.  She made it feel like we were on a hike with a friend (who happened to be an amazing photographer!) which really helped us to enjoy our day.  The day was jam packed with all the hikes and activities and travel we planned, but Christine helped everything move along smoothly.  She has so many tricks up her sleeve from numerous weather apps to hike recommendations to guides for everything from attire (and how to pack it for a hike!) to activity recommendations.

Our elopement day and hikes were all we wanted it to be, and the images we received after just helped us to relive those moments.  We loved the combination of the more portrait type photos (which still felt natural even though we are definitely not naturals!) to the images of us hiking or just being "us" with each other.

Above all, working with Christine makes it easy to see how much she loves helping couples create the elopement day that fits their dream.  Our day was perfectly us, and we're so thankful to Christine for all the care and support she provided to help us have such a memorable day to start our marriage together.
